What’s involved with this role:
Carry out tasks in accordance with audit plan, programmes and Contract/SLA’s with a view to:-
checking systems, controls and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and effective, adequate in the light of changing circumstances and adhered to in practice.
the continuous examination of activities to enable the Audit Section to assist management and clients by accurately reviewing, appraising and reporting upon the extent to which the organisations assets and interests are accounted for and safeguarded from losses of all kinds.
Prepare reports for Group Auditor or Chief Auditor on investigations undertaken as part of main audits and aspects of client audits assigned to post-holder.
Draft reports for clients on individual audits assigned by Group Auditors or Chief Auditors.
Keep abreast of legislation affecting relevant audits and look for opportunities to widen scope of audit for discussion with Group Auditor or Chief Auditor.
Maintain audit control and recharge accounts.
Supervise junior members of staff when required.

“Essentials” – The following requirements must be highlighted on your CV itself and NOT in a covering letter:
UK working experience
Availability to work – CV should state either immediate or at short notice
AAT, CIPFA Public Audit qualification or PIIA or Part qualified CCAB or equivalent
Minimum of 12 months recent audit experience in a senior capacity, preferably within a similar role and ideally within a public sector organisation
Microsoft Office skills
Other preferable/desirable details to include on your CV, if applicable :
Any local authority experience
Any relevant qualifications held or being studied for

Anticipated Length of Assignment: All of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis. This opening assignment is for 2-3 months.
Hours per week: 35-37 (tbc) Monday – Friday, normal working hours
