The Legal Secretary will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Principal and to the fee earners. You will also be required to,
Key performance indicators
The following are the key areas where your overall performance will be measured by your line manager on a daily basis and as part of your review process. You will be required to demonstrate examples of how you have satisfied and exceeded the required performance as part of your 6 monthly reviews
Dictation - You will be required to complete all dictation within 24 hours of receipt.
emails - You will be required to distribute all e mails received to the relevant fee earner and if required update the case management system accordingly. All e mails must be cleared from all relevant mailboxes before close of business each working day. Tasks must be set for the fee earner to review the incoming e mail.
Telephony & Communication - You will be required to answer all inbound calls and also calls on behalf of the fee earners. You will be required to take messages and e mail the fee earner immediately.
Details of the telephone call must be taken and a full file note be created on pro claim on ?take a call? and a task be set for the fee earner to review the claim within 24 hours-the note must be clear and concise and fully record the conversation
You will be required to escalate any complaints raised against the company to the principal immediately providing details of the complaint and all relevant case details
After the Event administration - You will be responsible for the following
Amend case management workflow documents as and when system changes are implemented
Clear desk policy - You will be expected to adhere to the clear desk policy. If you are unable to achieve this on a daily basis please advise your line manager
