To work proactively within the Sales department to generate new business for the company from new customers and support the marketing function of the business in its objective of acquiring new business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To generate sales leads from an existing customer client base
• To follow up generated sales leads to a conclusion
· To be able to identify target customers/sectors, produce targeted communications relevant to each customer/sector and assist the Sales / Marketing Team in delivering new marketing campaigns to acquire new customers.
· To be able to understand each individual customers sales requirements and to be able to produce quotes/proposals that truly and accurately reflect these understood needs in order to promote the benefits of the quote to the customer.
· To provide sales overview at weekly / bi-weekly sales meeting.
· To revisit customers and up-sell extensions to existing web based services already sold to customers.
· To maintain regular contact with already sold to customers to maintain rapport.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
• Experienced sales person with successful track record, ideally with industry experience or as a minimum, clear demonstration of working within a consultative sales role.
• Good working knowledge of general sales and marketing strategies and specifically those within a web based environment.
• Ability to write clear and concise proposal documents. Whilst the format is provided, each proposal is then individually tailored to each customer.
• Experience of pitching business to Senior Management teams and Boards.
