Job Title: Member Recruitment Officer
Job Purpose:
To recruit new members, increase new member income, recruit organisational patrons and increase member retention
Principal Accountabilities:
* Recruit new organisation members to revenue and quantity based targets
* Promote, support closely and attend relevant organisational events;
* Contribute to the development of member recruitment campaigns
* Follow up prospects, make appointments and sell membership and other products
both over the telephone and in the field.
* Maximise the use of the organisation's database for membership recruitment
* Assist in the development of the organisation's Patronage Scheme and recruit partners
to revenue targets.
* Sell organisation related products to members and non-members when required.
Internal and External Relationships:
* To develop and maintain effective relationship with internal and external customers.
Additional Duties:
* Assist in the retention of members where required
* Assist in membership engagement and participation campaigns where required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:
* A self motivated, pro-active sales achiever with proven experience
* Well developed sales and negotiation skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members and non-member
organisations
* Grade C or above in English and Maths
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision
