In depth understanding of business development issues, A specific understanding of business life-cycles, stages of development and their relation to business growth, Analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving and project management skills, Influencing and negotiation skills, Minimum of 2 years experience as a business owner/manager, or at a senior level in a private and / or public sector business related environment, A sector or functional specialism as appropriate, Minimum Level 3 Qualification , Experience in organisational change, Analysis and understanding of financial accounts, Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels in a variety of different media, To be SFEDI Accredited within 12 months of appointment.
Desirable:
MBA (qualified or studying towards), Degree level qualification in appropriate discipline, Broad understanding of local, regional and key national business support providers, Understanding of Business Link core offer, including customer segmentation and Information, Diagnosis and Brokerage (IDB) model, Understanding of the South West region, Qualification in specialist skill, Excellent communication, listening, influencing and negotiating skills, Problem solving and strategic thinking.
