The main area of the role is to assist with the launch and development of the group booking department.
* Co-ordinate sales campaigns to target organisers and to maximise sales.
* To ensure that the group sales department provides a consistently high level of care and
courtesy to customers and visitors at all times and to ensure that all customer enquiries are
responded to appropriately.
* Liaise with promotions manager to ensure effective and accurate information reaches regular
specialist group bookers promptly.
* Create Group Newsletters and develop the Group Database.
* To sell and promote with enthusiasm, all shows/events on sale and any other miscellaneous
sales managed by the organisation, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at
all times
* To assist with the management of staffing, Group department financial control, reporting, cash
handling, the processing of credit/debit card payments and ensuring the banking of cheques
and cash are strictly controlled and accurately recorded.
The duties of the post require the person to work mainly between the hours of 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility will sometimes be required to meet the needs of the business.
Successful candidate will have:-
* Knowledge of Box Office Systems
* Marketing experience
* Experience within Sales / Call Centre
* ECDL or similar qualification
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to self motivate and work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to and flexibility to work hours as deemed by the business, including evenings,
weekends and Bank Holidays.
* Willing to undertake appropriate training
