    Business Development Manager - Lending & Protection£17,264 + 25% quarterly bonus

    Our client, a leading provider of insurance and finance products with a state of
    the art office in Southport is recruiting a Business Development Manager within
    the Lending & Protection Department.

    The successful candidate will be required to achieve sales and activity based targets through relationship management of a specified panel of intermediaries

    · Demonstrate a broad understanding of our business partners products to maximise business opportunities.
    · Actively identify and develop new business relationships to maximise sales.
    · Maintain specified outbound calling regimes to maximise business levels.
    · Utilise inbound calls to highlight the strengths of other products ad services available via the department and the company.
    · Identify regular callers who utilise the helpdesk and do not support the business
    · All new members to be contacted within the agreed contact strategy.
    · Respond knowledgeable, courteously, efficiently and professionally when handling calls.
    · Delivery of personal contribution to team initiatives/business needs.
    · Updating systems to record and update both inbound and outbound activity.
    · Assist the Sales Department in growing General Insurance by identifying those that use the department's services but do not produce General Insurance for the business.

    You must be able to demonstrate :

    · The ability to communicate at all levels, gaining buy in and commitment to initiatives.
    · Strong organisational, effective planning & time management skills, including handling multiple pieces of work simultaneously and being able to work to deadlines
    · Detailed knowledge and understanding of the process, policies, standards and procedures relevant to own team together with an outline knowledge of processes within other areas;
    · Willing to develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of own departments products and services in addition to maintaining a satisfactory level of the company's products.
    ·Experience of working in a sales environment within the mortgage intermediary market.
    · Good knowledge of the mortgage market, especially lenders policies, intermediaries' needs and practices and the mortgage products
    · CEMAP qualified or be willing to work towards within 6 months of appointment, with view to successfully obtaining the qualification no more than 18 months after joining the department.

    Hours 9am -5pmSalary £17,264 + 25% bonus on a quarterly basis
