Job Description
Team leader - Motor Claims Experience
GBP21,750 - GBP28,250
Liverpool
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
To lead, motivate and build rapport within the team
To drive continuous improvement in the service delivery of claims handling
To ensure the team continually adhere to client specific protocols and best practice
To work closely with other Team Leaders, CUSMs, CUTMs and other representatives within the firm to deliver consistently high levels of service
To assist the CUSM in driving the performance of the claims handling team to ensure key indicators are monitored and productivity maximised
To manage poor performance of individuals within the team
To actively support and promote the firms values and policies in a professional manner
To assist the CUSM in the completion of appraisal reviews in a fair, consistent and timely manner
To ensure the team create and maintain accurate Claims Management System records
In conjunction with the CUSM and CUTM, identify the teams training needs and recommend appropriate training solutions to meet performance requirements, drawing on the relevant expertise within the firm
To assess the capacity of the team to ensure this is aligned with business objectives, strategy and priorities
To promote innovation within the claims handling unit
To offer a high level of client contact and to continually monitor the work procedures to improve the service delivery to clients
To undertake presentations to colleagues at various levels in a manner which is motivational and sets expectations for quality and performance standards
To undertake projects and to be able to deliver within agreed timescales
To ensure the team kept up to date with internal and external developments
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Where appropriate, attend client review meetings
To manage where appropriate, a small portfolio of claims
Skill required:
Technical Excellence
Highly developed knowledge of processes, systems and procedures
Excellent technical knowledge of motor claims
Able to use various IT packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Competent in the use of CMS, TAS, FE Performance and the HR systems
Problem solving skills
