A permanent opportunity for a Care Assistant to work within this private care home, to provide care and support for vulnerable children with learning disabilities

In your role as Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for:
*To shift lead, and organise staff rota's
*To supervise staff in duties within the home
*Taking charge of the home in the absence of the manager
*Undertake direct care were required
*Working as part of a support team with individuals with Learning Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviours.
*To provide a person centred approach to supporting residents in maintaining and pursuing a healthy , active and varied life.
*Provision of general day to day care to residents including, as necessary: meal preparation and supervision, cleaning, clothes and food shopping, day trips and doctors visits and assistance with washing and bathing.
*To plan and carry out day trips for residents.
*To attend to the residents physical and emotional needs.

To qualify for this role we are looking for -

*NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care
*Knowledge of Learning Disabilities
*Ability to work on own initiative
*Knowledge of working with children in the care sector
*Honest and conscientious manner
*A Reliable an flexible approach
*Excellent communication skills


Key skills
To qualify for this Deputy Managers role with childrens with learning disabilities, you will need to:

*NVQ 3 in Health & Social
*Previous experience of managing a home
*Have experience of working with vulnerable children
*Be willing to undergo an enhanced CRB Disclosure
*Have excellent communication skills
