My client a prestigious law firm based in Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer.
The main purpose of this role is to provide guidance and advice, as well as to assist in the development of compliant solutions. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance and liasing with the Anti Money Laundering Team the successful candidate will need to be able to build good working relationships, possess excellent communication skills as well as to think independently and advise in a detached manner.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE;
*Assisting Partners and Others in auditing compliance with quality systems.
*Supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer to ensure that the firm complies with relevant legislation and Solicitors Regulation Authority or Law Society Guidance.
*Supporting the Insurance Mediation Compliance Officer to ensure that the firm complies with relevant legislation and Solicitors Regulation Authority or Law Society Guidance.
*Supporting the Data Protection Compliance Officer to ensure that the firm complies with the relevant legislation and the Information Commissioners Office.
*To maintain an awareness of risk management and regulatory compliance trends.
It is essential that candidates have a good working knowledge of the Law and/or Insurance Industry, and associated processes or procedures, previous experience of working within a regulated Legal environment and demonstrate previous experience of working within a Project Team.
The firm are offering an excellent salary of between £22-28k plus superb benefits.
